The history of Group
The company began to focus on maritime container transport and actively pursued the development of this fast-growing sector in the barge-served port areas of Liège (Terminal Inland).
Luc BEYERS creates the group's first company. The company has remained focused on multimodal transport from the outset. First in swap-body transport (rail-road).
The company moves into the Grace Hollogne industrial estate and continues to grow.
It now has a 900m2 hall on a 4000m2 site in the immediate vicinity of Liège Airport and at the intersection of the main Walloon freeways.
Luc BEYERS enters into a partnership with the company managing the Renory container terminal (EUCOTRANS at the time), taking over the complete management and planning of road transport for sea containers handled by the terminal. This partnership is still in force today with DPWORLD LIEGE CONTAINER TERMINALS .
Luc BEYERS founds TRABELUX Sàrl, a freight forwarding and transport organization company, which becomes the group's second company, based in Pommerloch in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
This location in the heart of Europe is no coincidence, as the Group is increasingly targeting international customers.
BEYERS INTERNATIONAL (Trabelux's trading name) works with a number of regular, reliable European subcontractors who, combined with the group's own trucks, enable it to offer a controlled, flexible and reliable service to all its customers.
BEYERS TRANSPORT BELGIUM is nominated for the Green Truck Award 2017.
The company expands its services and starts up a Tautliner business equipped with coil pits in Benelux, France and Germany.
Luc BEYERS founds BEYERS TRANSPORT LUXEMBOURG Sàrl, which becomes the group's third company.
This new trucking company has been set up to serve medium and long-distance customers throughout Europe.
This makes it an efficient and effective tool for meeting the specific and demanding requirements of the Group's customers all over Europe.
That year, the Group also invested in a "Side Loader" trailer, which can pick up and/or drop off sea containers of all types, empty or loaded, from floor to truck, truck to truck or train to truck.
Following this investment, the group began selling and renting sea containers.
Once again this year, the BEYERS INTERNATIONAL Group has been nominated for Carrier of the Year 2019, while BEYERS TRANSPORT BELGIUM has been nominated for Trends Gazelles 2019.
A joint venture is operated between the Renory terminal (LIEGE CONTAINER TERMINAL) and the TRILOGIPORT terminal (DP WORLD LIEGE).
BEYERS INTERNATIONAL then became the official and preferred carrier for the two DPWORLD LIEGE CONTAINER TERMINALS in Hermalle sous Argenteau (TRILOGIPORT) and Angleur(Renory).
2018 also sees the arrival of the first trains from China. BEYERS INTERNATIONAL immediately positions itself as a serious and efficient player for these new and often urgent transport flows.
BEYERS INTERNATIONAL's facilities are located in the immediate vicinity of the LLI terminal in Bierset (Liège Logistics Intermodal), giving it the means to react quickly to urgent customer requests.
Study and testing of electric trucks to offer "0 emissions" transport for the "last mile" to and from terminals.
As the log shipping business continued to grow alongside the flow of trains from China, the group launched a new order for 30 Vanhool container trailers, which were added to the fleet.
